My gamer tag has evolved over time. Back in 2016, when I was deep into playing Fortnite, I went by Ayooo_Darius. It felt fun at the time, but after a while, the “Ayooo” part started to feel a bit overused. I still wanted to keep my real name in the tag, though, so I started brainstorming ideas. Eventually, I landed on “OkayyDarius.” It stuck with me because it’s almost like a low-key compliment—if I’m doing well in a game, people can say, “Okay, Darius!” It just felt right, and I’ve been using it ever since.
The first game I ever played was probably Call of Duty. I started gaming on my Xbox 360, which was my first major system, apart from my Nintendo GameCube. My early memories are filled with endless hours playing Call of Duty, both on multiplayer and in the intense, heart-pounding Zombies mode. The versatility of Call of Duty—from tactical multiplayer to cooperative zombies—hooked me in as a kid and kept me coming back. That’s why the Call of Duty series remains my all-time favorite.
While Call of Duty is my favorite, I’ve got two other games that mean a lot to me. Second place goes to Valorant. Growing up, I was always drawn to tactical shooters, and Valorant became the game that introduced me to the world of mouse-and-keyboard gaming. It felt like a natural evolution from console shooters to something more precise and strategic, which I loved.
In third place, I have to give a shout-out to the Grand Theft Auto series. The open-world freedom of GTA has always been a blast. It’s one of those games where you can create your own stories, explore different possibilities, and just have fun causing chaos. Whether I’m sticking to the storyline or just messing around in the world, it’s a series that never fails to entertain.
My gaming story started when I was a kid, and I got a Nintendo 3DS for Christmas. That kicked off my love for gaming. My siblings and I also had a GameCube and a Wii, which we played constantly. But things really took off when I got my Xbox 360. That’s when my older brother introduced me to Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 Zombies, specifically the iconic Kino der Toten map. From that moment on, I was hooked.
I became obsessed with Call of Duty multiplayer, and my journey through the series is something I’m really proud of. I played Call of Duty 4, Black Ops 1, Black Ops 2, Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, and more. I even loved some of the more underrated entries, like Ghosts and Infinite Warfare. I’ve played almost every Call of Duty game out there, and it’s a series I’ll always dominate in, even today.
Now, I’ve moved through several consoles—from the PS3 to the PS4 and now, the PS5. My love for gaming has only grown with each system.
I started streaming simply because of how much I love gaming. Streaming and gaming go hand in hand for me. I’m not in it for the financial gain (at least, not right now), but I want to build a community of like-minded people who love gaming as much as I do. It’s all about connecting with people who share my passion for games.
Streaming allows me to share my gameplay experiences with others, whether it’s clutch moments in Valorant or dominating in Call of Duty. It’s about finding people who get excited over the same games and building a space where we can all hang out.
In the next five years, I still see myself gaming and streaming while keeping a balanced and healthy lifestyle. My goal is to have built a solid community that enjoys my streams and maybe even make a little side money from Twitch and YouTube.
I’m not looking for fame, but I’d love to have a nice group of people who look forward to my content. I wish I had started streaming earlier in life, but I’m here now, and that’s what matters. My hope is to create a stable, supportive community and continue doing what I love.
