The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Is Coming This Year

Nintendo announced a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time during today’s Direct, launching exclusively on Switch 2 this year, but details remain scarce, with only a brief trailer available.
Today’s Nintendo Direct saw a massive announcement made by Nintendo; The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is being remade, and it’s coming out this year.

Unfortunately, Nintendo decided to give us absoluteluy no other details. Even the trailer didn’t provide much to chew on – just a few seconds of a young Link snoozing happily.

The remake will be exclusive to the Switch 2 and will launch sometime this year. And that’s it. That’s everything we know.

Ocarina of Time was originally released on Nintendo 64 in 1998, back when I was just a measly 7 years old. It’s widely considered one of the most important games…well, ever. It stil holds a Metacritic score of 99, which makes it the sites highest rated game.

It got a remaster back in 2011 for the 3DS.
